Our History

The Center, formally known as Kingdom Vision Life Center, was founded and established in Wilmington N.C. by Ronald and Rachel Wilson under the name of Higher Hope in early 1998. After being ordained and then sent to Rockingham by the late Bishop John W. Barber, Higher Hope was changed to New Life Ministries. Shortly after relocating the Wilson family, God called Bishop Barber home. After several years of ministry in the Rockingham/Hamlet area, the Wilson’s journeyed to Fresno, California for a year where they focused more on mission work.

God led the Wilson family back to Greensboro, North Carolina where they have lived for the past twelve years.  The Center was established and is currently flourishing to this present time in the Greater Greensboro area. The Center places a great emphasis on pursing ownership of Heaven’s vision on Earth (Matthew 6:10).

Since transitioning to Greensboro, the Lord has added as he promised to the church and vision is constantly being pursued. Countless lives have been changed, souls have been saved, bodies have been healed, and the minds of God’s people have been forever changed.

As earlier stated, The Center places a strong emphasis on Kingdom Living! Our deepest desire is to see the culture of Heaven spread throughout the earth and the world at large!

  • We have been called to preach the gospel to the poor, “…to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord” (Luke 4:18-19).

  • We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

  • We believe that there is one body and one Spirit; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, through all and in all.

  • We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation.

  • We maintain that faith in Christ Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection is the only way, truth and life.

  • The born-again experience occurs upon confessing that God raised Jesus from the dead and asking Jesus to come inside your heart.

  • We believe in the subsequent experience of the baptism of Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with tongues.

  • We believe that Holy Spirit expresses Himself through people.

  • We believe in the ministry gifts as outlined in 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 and we expect the expression and fulfillment of the same.

  • We believe in water baptism and observance of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion).

  • We believe in the return of our soon coming King, Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead in Christ and that those who remain will be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. This is the Second Coming as described in 1 Thessalonians 4.
